Okay… so don’t hate me…

Instead of finishing the book for this week’s book review I decided to go see the Hunger Games movie.    And.  It.  Was.  Amazing!

But here’s the thing, I haven’t read the book…  I didn’t think I would like it.  Stupid, I know… What was I thinking?   Did I think everyone would love it but me?!?!

I didn’t even think I would like the movie, but went along with the crowd anyways.  And LOVED it!  I was skipping out of the theater.  I will definitely read the books now!  I want to know everything I can about the characters.  I am hooked.

It was absolutely amazing.  I loved every second of it.  I did not want it to end.

If you haven’t seen the movie (even if you haven’t read the book) you need to get off the computer and run to the theater to see The Hunger Games.  You will not be disappointed.

Hunger Games News!

We have a trailer!  After all those teaser posters and the poster that burst into flames online we have an actual trailer!  I have to admit that I have been skeptical about this movie.  I did not know if they would do the book justice.  This trailer has given me hope.  watch and see what I mean:

It is pretty awesome.  And speaking of pretty, did you know that they are going to be releasing a Hunger Games nail polish collection?  I suppose it does tie into the image consciousness of the society of Hunger Games, but I just cannot see Katniss wearing a nail polish called “Catnip.”

I however, would totally rock “Fire in Flight.”  If you want to check out the full article, and see the release date, then check out the link below.

That is all for this Hunger Games filled news break.  We will get back to your regularly scheduled blog content now!

Hunger Games Casting!

I was not living under a rock this week, and therefore heard all about the final decisions that have been made for the parts of Peeta and Gale.  I had not known that Katniss had been cast, so I figured I would include her in this post as well for everyone who was under the rock with me when she was cast.

Our Katniss is: Jennifer Lawrence

Our Peeta is: Josh Hutcherson

Our Gale is: Liam Hemsworth

Interesting choices.  I do not know much about any of them in terms of acting, so I will leave it for you to debate.  Do you think these actors have what it takes to survive the Hunger Games?
