Feel like something is missing from your life? A lack of excitement? Just not enough adventure and suspense? Never you fear my darling readers, as always I have the solutions to your problems. If a lack of suspense and action is what you feel, I will give you it ten-fold with Blink & Caution by Tim Wynne-Jones. Granted your action will be slightly manic, a little bit crazy, and a whole lot of confusing, but the book will have you hooked from first word to last.
All Blink wanted was to score some free breakfast and get off the street for a little while. How was he supposed to know that choosing to chow down outside of room 1616 would get him involved in a weird abduction case? Or that pocketing a blackberry from the abducted would have him starting a dialogue with the abductees’ daughter?
Caution has spent most of her time on the streets running from her past and in the arms of her drug-dealer boyfriend. She decides that it is time to leave him before he has her turning tricks on the street, or worse. There is, however, no hiding from Merlin, because Merlin knows all. Nowhere is safe, and she certainly cannot go back home, not after what she has done.
Now what happens when poor Blink, trying hard to do the right thing, and little miss Caution, trying hard to become invisible, meet up? Will Blink and Caution be able to help one another out, or will everything come tumbling down around them? If you want to find out, you’re going to have to come to the Tucker Free Library.
